About Our Auto Shop
The Owner of Southside Motors, Alicia & her Boyfriend, started the business out of their passion for cars & their involvement in the car community. Their journey together started in Southern California in 2011, when they met. In 2017 a very close friends from the service, lived in North Carolina, had a tragic accident and passed away. Upon passing he left instructions for a F150 Lightening truck to go to them if they wanted it, which of course they did.
When her boyfriend drove out from California to pick up the truck he fell in love with the North Carolina / Virginia area. It reminded him of where he grew up in New England but with a lot less snow. The two of them decided to buy the house his friend lived in as an investment property. At the time it was impossible to imagine living their full time, but when COVID hit we decided leave California. They both agree it would be impossible to imagine living in Southern California.
It was not long after moving to North Carolina that we purchased our GT350R and our Super Snake was doing being built by Shelby America. We started one weekend in February (2022) taking both vehicles out to Cars & Coffee in Roxboro, and we became addicted to the culture. By September of that year we were heavenly involved in the local car community. We were attending events, doing cruise-ins, showing our vehicles and spending good quality time with other vehicle owners like our self.
In 2023 Southside Motors opened in Danville, Virginia with a goal to provide excellent service and top quality work on vehicles of all kinds. We just completed our move to South Boston Virginia in May 2025. We encourage everyone to come out and meet the owners.
